I am not one to think about profound Questions or even to consider Answers to those questions but of recent because of both personal life and what happened at Isla Vista, I have been. Isla Vista is where my daughter works at UCSB and just down the road from my home. Too close to home.
So what am I to do? No easy answer but I came across this interview with Joan Gold. She says out loud what I feel. Her articulation of her needs echoed with me.

Here I am painting in Karen Young's studio in Solvang, CA. Karen shares both the space and skill for me to work. Karen herself is getting ready for a show in Los Olivos, CA. Opening is set for June 7th at Wendy Foster's, with a reception in the afternoon.
