As promised here are the magnolia leaves our family did on Thanksgiving Day's Art Project. Each year I come up with a project that I hope all will enjoy...some have be more successful then others! But this year was a hit. I am crazy for the beauty of them all.
I had an heat gun ready if needed and two people figured out how to boil the paint and create these great bubbles!
Love the simplicity of these.
One can never go wrong with polka dots!

I love how my "earth" shots from space turned out. Actually they are small pieces of heavy paper that I "marbeled" after watching this tutorial on You Tube...Now That's Clever! Thanks Julie.
I started with a length of knitted yarn. Love these colors...sort of painted desert theme.
At this point you fold the length in to the center with ends matching (note both start yarn tail and end yarn tail are both on the same side)
Now flip one end so that one yarn end is at the top and the other at the bottom. Now close this seam using the longer piece of yarn tail. Not to worry I will give you a link if you are lost!
Cowl is now complete! Somebody I know is getting this for their birthday!
For true knitters the errors of this project are fairly obvious but for me this looks fine and I love wearing it. Adds color and warmth! Made with Turbo round needles.
Actually this started out as a hat but went south...I have undone many crochet pieces but thought I could salvage this "hat" and create a basket. The green balls are felted wool yarn.
While searching for ways to learn crochet I came across one of my favorite site The Purl Bee and looky here they had a lesson on crochet rocks. Had to give it a try.
When your garden gets full of snails, you set bait and hope they don't eat everything! These snails were invited inside!
This is the clay work of my SIL Jonelle. She's potted for some time now and has recently decided to regroup and take a clay respite. Her friendly snails are a last hurrah!
This time I did a different type edging. Here the edging is UP.

You Tube is a great way to learn how to do all kinds of things...I recently decided to see if I could learn to crochet. I am making hats, fingerless gloves, flowers. I am keeping it simple. Here's my first hat.
The yarn has a metallic embellishment and feels soft...cool.
