While in San Francisco this past weekend I was taken to The Manila Oriental Market in the outer Mission. Came upon a plastic tub of live frogs! Now this is your scary picture of Halloween! I have deep frog fear and to take this photo I had to sstretccch my arm as faarrr and it would go to capture this creepy sighting. Happy Halloween! and pass the candy.
Enough said!
A friend shared some metal rings and I put odds and ends from my work bench and covered with epoxy resin. Voila...something fun that I have no idea how I will use but I like the results.

You are looking down on a cup full of "ficklesticks" resting on the instucrtion/inspiration book by Diana Taylor. A friend told me about these art sticks which can bend, wrap, and weave. Book have some fun ideas.

Again using the same painting ideas as yesterday but no rub ons this time, I am exploring the idea of both imaginary images and abstract images. I think this painting is successful for the goal. What do you think?
Trying out some new techniques of painting. This was done on illustration board with water colors, pencils, acrylic paints, and rub ons. LA (as in Los Angeles) is a "other world" kind of place...vast stretches of everything thus my painting can only be
(a detail).
I have had a box of wig head holders for almost a year and wanted to do something with them. This is my version of a Day of The Dead skull. I know that it is not real (duh, you made it, silly) but it looks very scary to me and way too "life" like. What do you think? What are you doing for Halloween?
